What is SimpleDiscounts?

Our vision at SimpleRent is to bring joy to tenants, and this is why when we designed our system we asked how we can be a big WIN for tenants.

We then asked:

  • What if, we could help a tenant achieve 3x, 5x, or even >10x their bank account direct debit fees in savings?
  • What if tenants could save more than a week's worth of rent every year, especially after fees?

Do I get locked into a contract?

We are so confident in our product and service we do not lock you into a long term contract. You are able to cancel at any time. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain including saved time, saved money and delighting tenants.

Can you help me migrate from another platform or from a manual database?

Yes, we offer specialist assistance as you migrate to SimpleRent:

  • Import your data without manual hassle through our bulk data transfer facility ( PropertyMe clients)
  • Adjust agency templates
  • Invitation of existing Tenants to SimpleRent (PropertyTree, Console etc.)

How do I get started with SimpleRent?

Getting started is easy:

  • Onboarding and training - Our onboarding manager will assist you with your onboarding requirements, assist with office workflow integration and personalised training for your team.
  • Tenant transfer - Our onboarding manager continues to assist you when moving tenants to SimpleRent.
  • Account management - Manage your leases and payments easily with the support from your Success Manager

How quickly do funds settle?

Funds clear to your trust account in two (2) business days. This means that rent payments will be scheduled only two (2) business days in advance. Funds debited from the tenant’s account after 5PM Monday is settled to your trust account on Wednesday at approximately 2PM. Most Agencies will then reconcile the following morning.

How can you help me if tenants fail to pay?

SimpleRent has pre-built automations that notify tenants via email and SMS when they fail to pay, and reattempt to debit the tenant’s nominated account for the previous failed payment. If the tenant fails to pay before their next direct debit, the failed payment will automatically be reattempted in the next week's direct debit run on the same day the rent is due again. We will then attempt the failed payment and the payment due for the week in two separate payments ensuring a higher likelihood of obtaining one week rent.

Will tenants have their own log-in access to SimpleRent.com?

Yes, tenants have a unique access to SimpleRent and can easily change their tenancy details at any time by clicking the “Edit” button.

What can I pay via SimpleRent?

With SimpleRent, you set up your property payments in seconds:

  • Entry payment
  • Deposit (for New South Wales)
  • Bond payment
  • Recurring rent payments
  • Water bills

What payment methods are available on Simplerent?

You can pay via credit card or automatic debit on bank accounts. A small transaction fee may apply.

How often can I pay my rent?

With SimpleRent, you can select the rent payment schedule that works for you - weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

What is the easiest way to pay my rent?

The most convenient and hassle-free way to pay your rent is via ‘Set & Forget’ payment. SimpleRent automatically pays your recurring rent directly from your credit card or nominated bank account on your rent’s due date. Now you will never have to worry about forgetting your rent payments

How do I know if my rent has been paid?

You can check your payment transaction history by logging into your SimpleRent Tenant account and clicking the 'History' button to see your past transactions and payment status.

For 'Set & Forget' payment plan, you can assume that your rent has been paid on the agreed transaction date otherwise you will receive a notification via email and SMS.

For 'Pay Today' payment plan, you will receive payment confirmation via email and SMS on every rent schedule to be processed. Receipting of payments are handled by your real estate agency.

What happens if I fail to pay my rent on time?

You will receive an email with a pay up now link to catch up with the failed rent payment.

An owing fee will be applied on the next rent payment schedule of $13.90 for tenants on Set & Forget (Direct Debit).

The owing fee will apply to tenants using a bank account or credit card (along with their respective transaction fees).

What happens if I want to change my payment date?

Simply log in to your SimpleRent tenant account to change your payment date. If you move your payment date, a prorated rent amount will be charged.

How do I get started with SimpleRent?

Your property manager will register your property in SimpleRent. Once registered, you will receive instructions from your real estate agency on how to log in to SimpleRent.

I want to pay my rent via SimpleRent but my property manager is not using SimpleRent.

Endorse your property manager to us and we will guide your property manager on how to get started with SimpleRent. Complete the referral form.
